Meet Our Doctors

With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Stark is an expert in the field of children’s dentistry. Working with children is the best job in the world for him. He graduated from the University of Utah with a Biology degree, from the Medical College of Virginia as a Doctor of Dental Surgery, and the University of Texas Health Science Center in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Stark is a board-certified pediatric dentist, a member of the American Dental Association, Utah Dental Association, and the Utah Association of Pediatric Dentists.

Dr. Stark is married to Sheryl Holt Stark; together, they have raised six children and have several grandchildren.

Dr. Matt A. Ghiz is an accomplished orthodontist with an impressive track record spanning over 20 years. He embarked on his dental journey at West Virginia University, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. His passion for orthodontics led him to pursue a Master of Science Degree in Orthodontics in 2001, solidifying his expertise in the field, and he continues his education yearly through CE courses.

In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Ghiz proudly served active-duty military as an orthodontist in Vicenza, Italy, for seven years. During this time, he honed his skills and contributed to the well-being of servicemen and women. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists® and was a Hinman Scholar recipient.

Dr. Ghiz’s expertise in orthodontics is comprehensive, as he adeptly treats both children and adults. He is well-versed in various bracket systems and is a certified provider of Invisalign® clear aligners, offering patients a wide array of options to achieve their ideal smiles.

Beyond the confines of his practice, Dr. Ghiz is married to his wife Becky, and they have four children. He is an avid lover of the outdoors, finding solace in activities such as running, mountain biking, cycling and golf. His sense of adventure also extends to the magical realm of Disneyland, where he enjoys making cherished memories with his family.

Dr. Todd Allen is a distinguished board-certified pediatric dentist, serving for over 13 years. Before his dental training, Dr. Allen earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of Utah and his journey in dentistry began at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2008, where he laid the foundation for his career in oral health. His pursuit of excellence led him to the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, where he completed specialized training in pediatric dentistry in 2010. This intensive program equipped him with the expertise to diagnose and treat dental issues specific to children and adolescents. Dedicated to staying at the forefront of his field, Dr. Allen actively engages in continuing education, investing a minimum of 15 hours annually to stay updated with the latest developments in pediatric dentistry.

Dr. Allen’s advanced training has earned him board certification in pediatric dentistry. His professional affiliations include memberships in the Utah Dental Association, American Dental Association®, American Association of Pediatric Dentistry, Utah Association of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

His ultimate goal as a pediatric dentist is to establish meaningful connections with families while ensuring that every child has a positive and pleasant dental experience.

Beyond his professional life, Dr. Allen shares his journey with his wife and four children. In his leisure time, he finds joy in outdoor activities like mountain biking and skiing.

Dr. Shaun Henderson completed his undergraduate studies at Utah Valley University, after which he graduated from the Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. Since graduating from dental school, he continues to study the latest dental techniques and is constantly striving to increase his knowledge and skills in the field of dentistry. Dr. Henderson’s goal is to treat every patient with care and compassion, providing exceptional treatment with beautiful results.

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Henderson loves spending time with his wife and two daughters. They enjoy the outdoors, especially hiking, rock climbing and riding mountain bikes together.

Dr. Jeffrey Brown has practiced all aspects of dentistry for over 25 years. He graduated from Weber State University in Ogden and went on to graduate from Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago. He loves to place and restore implants as well as create beautiful smiles. His favorite part of dentistry is the relationships he can build with his patients.

Dr. Brown and his wife Colleen raised three beautiful children and love to spend time with their eight (and counting!) grandchildren.

Dr. Rodney J. Slater has been making smiles brighter and dental visits more comfortable in Utah for over two years. He graduated from Oregon Health and Sciences University in 1997, after receiving a strong academic foundation in Biology from Brigham Young University. Before returning to his hometown of American Fork, Utah, where he was born and raised, he provided essential dental treatment to medically underserved populations in rural New Mexico for five years. During this time, he faced and successfully treated life-threatening dental emergencies, emphasizing the crucial role of preventive dentistry in avoiding such situations.

Dr. Slater is a member of both the American Dental Association® and the Academy of General Dentistry.

His ultimate goal as a dentist is to transform the typical anxiety associated with dental visits into a comfortable and educational experience. He believes in fostering an environment where patients feel at ease while receiving excellent care. Dr. Slater’s mission extends beyond treatment; he is passionate about educating his patients on maintaining optimum oral health to prevent dental emergencies.

Outside of his profession, Dr. Slater shares his life with a beautiful wife and two lovely daughters. Together, they enjoy bonding over shared hobbies such as camping, fishing, snow skiing and simple Sunday afternoon barbeques.
