At Out of This World Dentistry, meet Dr. Matthew Ghiz, Dr. Todd Allen, Dr. Shaun Henderson, and Dr. Jeffrey Brown - a team of specialists serving children and adults under one roof at all three locations. With pediatric, orthodontic, and general dentistry in-house, the practice provides Invisalign, crowns, root canals, implants, and sedation dentistry for comfortable visits. Matthew A. Ghiz, DDS, MS
Orthodontist
Dr. Matthew A. Ghiz has been serving patients in the area since 2004 with a thoughtful, personalized approach to orthodontic care. His goal is to help patients achieve healthy, confident smiles while creating a comfortable and positive experience throughout treatment. He enjoys building relationships with patients and families and providing care that is tailored to each person's unique needs. Dr. Ghiz completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Utah before earning his dental degree from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 2001. He continued his training at West Virginia University, where he completed his orthodontic residency and earned his Master of Science degree in 2004. He also received specialized training in dentofacial orthopedics. Dr. Ghiz continues his education yearly to stay current with advancements in orthodontic care. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists. He has also been recognized with the Hinman Scholar Award and has been published multiple times for his research in the field of Orthodontics. Outside the office, Dr. Ghiz enjoys spending time with his family and pursuing his hobbies.
Todd Allen, DDS
Pediatric Dentist
For more than 16 years, Dr. Allen has been serving families in the area with a warm and thoughtful approach. His goal as a pediatric dentist is to build meaningful connections with families while making sure every child has a positive and pleasant dental experience. Dr. Allen is dedicated to helping children feel comfortable, cared for and confident during their dental visits. He earned his dental degree from the University of Michigan in 2008 and completed his pediatric residency at the University of Minnesota in 2010. He also completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Utah, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Spanish. Dr. Allen continues his education every year, completing a minimum of 15 hours annually to stay current with the latest standards in pediatric dental care. He is board certified in pediatric dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Outside the office, Dr. Allen enjoys spending time with his wife and their four children. He also enjoys outdoor activities, including golf, mountain biking and skiing.
Shaun Henderson, DMD
General Dentist
Dr. Henderson's goal is to provide each patient with the best possible treatment while creating a comfortable and trustworthy dental experience. He values clear communication, thoughtful recommendations and patient-centered care. Dr. Shaun Henderson is committed to treating every patient with kindness, respect and the same level of care he would recommend for his own family. He earned his dental degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in 2017 and has been practicing in the area for six years. Dr. Henderson takes continuing education courses each month to keep his skills sharp and provide patients with care that reflects current techniques and materials. His continuing education has included training in cosmetic dentistry, endodontics and wisdom teeth extraction. He is also a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Outside the office, Dr. Henderson enjoys spending time with his wife and their two daughters. As a family, they enjoy camping, mountain biking and rock climbing. He grew up in Manchester, England, before moving back to the United States for college and dental school. He loves Utah and plans to call it home long term.
Jeffrey Brown, DDS
General Dentist
Dr. Jeffrey Brown has practiced all aspects of dentistry for over 25 years. He graduated from Weber State University in Ogden and went on to graduate from Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago. He loves to place and restore implants as well as create beautiful smiles. His favorite part of dentistry is the relationships he can build with his patients. Dr. Brown and his wife Colleen raised three beautiful children and love to spend time with their eight (and counting!) grandchildren.
