Pediatric Emergency Dental Care
Dental emergencies in children can happen without warning — during play, sports, or even while eating. At Out of This World Dentistry, we understand how stressful these moments can be for both children and parents. Our team in Draper, South Jordan and West Jordan is here to help with prompt evaluation and compassionate care when your child needs it most.
When To Contact Us
If your child is experiencing any of the following, please call our office right away for guidance:
- Severe or persistent toothache
- A knocked-out, loosened, or displaced tooth
- A chipped or broken tooth from a fall or impact
- Swelling in the face, jaw, or gums
- Bleeding from the mouth that does not stop with gentle pressure
- Pain when biting or sensitivity to temperature that disrupts eating or sleep
What To Do Before Your Visit
While you arrange to come in, here are a few things you can do at home:
- Stay calm and reassure your child.
- Apply a cold compress to the outside of the cheek to reduce swelling.
- For a knocked-out permanent tooth, keep it moist in milk or saliva and bring it with you.
- Rinse the mouth gently with warm water if there is bleeding or debris.
- Give age-appropriate pain medication as needed.
How We Can Help
Our team will evaluate your child's condition, take any necessary imaging, and recommend the most appropriate treatment. Whether it's managing pain, stabilizing a tooth, or addressing infection, we focus on keeping your child comfortable and informed throughout the process.
We encourage families to call us directly so we can prepare for your arrival and provide guidance over the phone while you're on your way.
